Don’t be left behind! Patients and practitioners are rapidly becoming more appreciative of periodontal harmony. With the additional growth of implants, it is vital that dentists learn to manage soft and hard tissue defects to help plan implant cases and manage periodontal and peri-implant defects.
This course will teach you the fundamentals of soft and hard tissue grafting. Beginning with a brief revision of the periodontium, you will then learn how to identify patients who would benefit from such surgeries, as well as safe and effective ways to manage them. This includes suture technique and flap design, soft and hard tissue graft materials with specifications on the qualities and handling of each, and post-procedural management. Medico-legal advice and managing complications will also be discussed to help you gain a comprehensive view of this field.
Theory will then be put into practice with afternoon sessions each day dedicated to pig-head practicals. Familiarise yourself with the techniques and materials our periodontic experts recommend, and refine your knowledge with the opportunity for personalised guidance.
Dr. Matthew Youssef (PGdipImplants) will lead this course. As leaders in their field, you can be assured that you will receive thorough, evidence-based and up-to-date information on advancements in this field. Post-course support is also available from our key organisers to ensure that you can implement and bring your confidence in grafting back to your clinic.
